THE WALL

Happy New Year to all you Caribwall readers! I’m so excited about this year, because it’s my year of realization and acceptance. I thought to myself, ‘what better way to make a big, necessary change in my life’, than of course the coming of a brand new year. I don’t have to drag any of my drama, resentment, pain or old habits into the New Year; I can literally leave them all behind, somewhere in the old year, somewhere in 2011. Isn’t that exciting and refreshing?
I think almost everybody uses the New Year, to take charge of their lives in one way or another, getting healthy, leaving a bad situation, or just moving forward or moving on and I think it’s the perfect opportunity to do that. So, if you haven’t done so already, for whatever reason, it’s not too late, it’s only the 12th of the month and you can still cease the opportunity.

So, let’s go people! Let’s get this show on the road, I’m going to take you along for the ride that is my life and let you in on a few secrets.
What’s good is that, I’ve already broken the curse, cleared some cobwebs and have had some hilarious dates, some dates from hell and some ‘oh really’ moments on dates.
I wouldn’t say I’m a woman on a mission, but if he’s out there for me, I will find him, I do believe he is though.  Although it’s been a long time since I’ve been in a serious relationship, I’m still optimistic, I believe in love, in romance and that there is someone out there for everyone.
If you take anything from any of this, it’s that you need to get back on the horse, no matter how hard you fall or how many bones you’ve broken, if I’ve learnt anything in life is that time heals,  all wounds. It’s also very comforting to know, we are never ever alone, and there is always someone who has walked the same walk.
